This collaboration strengthens the user onboarding process through digital trust technology to deliver a faster, safer, and more reliable investment experience.
Growth in Indonesia's capital market investors continues to show a positive trend. Based on data from the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK), the number of capital market investors has exceeded 28.96 million as of June 2026, growing 42.31% since the beginning of the year. Of this total, 54% are Generation Z, while nearly 80% of new investors are under 30 years old.
The high participation of young generations demonstrates that access to investment is increasingly widespread. At the same time, this also raises expectations for a fast, simple, and secure digital experience, including from the registration stage.
To address this need, Syailendra Capital is collaborating with Privy, an Electronic Certification Provider (PSrE) under the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMDIGI), to strengthen the user identity verification process on the YO! Inves mutual fund application.
From Manual Process to Around 3 Minutes
Previously, user identity verification was done manually by matching population data, such as full name, National ID Number (NIK), and date of birth, with data from the Dukcapil Portal. This process required a relatively longer time.
Through the implementation of Privy's technology, the verification process can now be completed in just around three minutes per user. Verification is supported by facial biometrics with validated liveness detection technology and connected to Dukcapil, followed by the issuance of an electronic certificate.
This improvement helps prospective investors complete the registration process more efficiently, without compromising security and identity accuracy.
Digital Trust as the Foundation of Investor Experience
For Syailendra Capital, identity verification is not merely an administrative step. This process is one of the foundations for building investor trust from the very first interaction.
Gunanta Afrima, Chief Operating Officer of Syailendra Capital, stated that accelerating onboarding has become a strategic necessity amid the high growth of retail investors. The challenge facing the digital investment industry today is not only the ability to reach new investors, but also how to ensure the entire process, from registration to investing, runs smoothly and safely.
